Looking for Budget App Suggestions... what do you recommend?

I need a budgeting and transaction tracking app that fits my needs. So far, I’ve tried a few:

Empower had a terrible UI and wasn’t great for budgeting. Rocket Money doesn’t allow for subcategories in transactions, so it’s not detailed enough for me. Quicken Simplifi also fell short with its budgeting features and keeps rearranging its UI every time I close it.

I’d love to combine the transaction tracking from Simplifi with the budgeting features from Rocket Money, but I want to stick to just one app. Does anyone have a recommendation for what I should try next?

Have you checked out YNAB - You Need A Budget? Lots of people like it.

You might want to look at Good Steward. It could be a good fit.

I keep transaction tracking separate from budgeting. I organize my income and expenses in a digital file cabinet. For budgeting, I import my transaction data into a spreadsheet.

Boney is interesting for tracking transactions but it’s manual. It has a sharable budget and advanced analytics tools.

I really like PocketGuard. I’ve been using it for about a year now and it works well for me.

I think Qube Money could be useful for you.

How important is transaction tracking for you? If you’re mostly focused on future budgeting, there are some other good options besides YNAB.

WealthPosition is good for customization, but it can be tricky to set up. If you get the hang of it, there’s a lot you can do.

Sounds like you’ve got your own preferences and are open to trying different apps. Fina Money lets you customize your tracking pretty flexibly. Have you considered Monarch Money?
