I notice such a pattern of good budgeting most of the time but if I’m going through a lot of stress/difficult emotions that’s when I over spend. Any tips for that or anyone who can relate?
You could create a sinking fund for “gotta have it” purchases to pull from. During the good months when you’re able to stay disciplined, you don’t pull from that fund at all. During the rough months, you’ve got some money built up that you saved just for that purpose.
Used to be me. My worst one is impulse buying a $1700 laptop because I was stressed lol. Really the only ways to fix it is to either fix the root cause of your stress or find a different outlet
I used to spend over $700/month on games, perfumes, and useless accessories. Now, I buy non-branded fragrances, only buy games I’ll play immediately, and stopped buying unnecessary accessories altogether.
