I’ve been using and really liking Rocket Money but for some reason, there is a glitch now and I can’t link my bank account through Plaid anymore. I’ve tried another budget app, and the issue appears to be with Plaid and my bank, not with Rocket Money. With my brain, it really works best to have my transactions automatically linked to a budget app rather than having to do it manually. Do I have any options that don’t use Plaid?
I’m doing a workaround with Fidelity and YNAB. Fidelity stopped OAuth linking (?) under the guise of security, and they want 3rd parties to use their (Fidelity’s) proprietary linking protocol.
So I have to manually log into Fidelity, export via a CSV file, then visit another website where a kind soul made a script that rearranges the CSV into one that YNAB likes, then drag that file into YNAB.
It takes less than a minute to do this, but it’s annoying compared to the seamless way all my other cc & bank accounts just work.
TLDR—You may need to see about exporting your transactions from your bank account and then importing them into Rocket Money.
Look into Skwad, OP. Does your bank have email alerts?
MyBudgetCoach uses SimpleFin/MX as a Plaid alternative.
