Hey all, I am looking for a simple budgeting app that syncs with banks. I am very hesitant to pay for an app with a monthly subscription, but I’d be willing to pay up to $100 for a lifetime license to an app. I realize this business model is becoming rarer and rarer, but I thought I’d ask to see if anyone knew of any. Thank you!
I don’t mind monthly subscriptions when they make sense, but a monthly bill for a budgeting service has always rubbed me the wrong way. Google Sheets is free, has unlimited customization, and if you’re privacy-minded it doesn’t connect to your bank account! Sadly, it’s also hard to use on mobile and takes a lot of my time.
PocketGuard does offer a lifetime subscription, but it might be over $100 at this point. It was $79 when I signed up a year ago.

I don’t see lifetime as an option on their site. Am I missing something?
I like Bluecoins quite a bit! It’s extremely customizable, allows exports to CSV, and has a backup option to move your data between devices. I paid 6€ in January, one time and that’s it!
Hey OP! I built a free website and iOS app called Nula, which helped me take back control of my finances and pay off over £30k of debt! It’s fairly new but has an easy and clean interface based on the zero-based budgeting approach. Feel free to check it out and give any feedback too! Centsible fits your pricing requirements and has CSV import. It doesn’t offer direct bank sync but is a solid option if you’re okay with manual entries.
If you’re looking for automatic bank sync, then a $100 lifetime option might not be viable, as many apps have costs that scale with usage. Consider apps with reasonable pricing plans that include annual subscriptions with discounts.
