Hi everyone! I just moved to California and I spend most of my time here for work. I have WiFi, but when I go back to my home state, I was wondering if there are companies that offer temporary WiFi or portable options. I want to avoid extra bills, especially since I won’t be using it when I’m not here. Any suggestions? I’m not very techy, so I thought I’d ask you all directly.
A cellular hotspot plan might work for you! You could use your phone or a separate device as a hotspot when you need it.
Have you checked out Starlink? They have an RV version that you can take anywhere, and you can pause the service when you’re not using it.
I’d recommend looking into different hotspot companies. For your needs, it could be enough for what you’re planning.
You can usually pause your Wi-Fi service when you’re not there. Just call the company and ask. I did this when I was younger, and it was pretty easy.
Check out T-Mobile’s home internet. See if you can take that service with you when you go back and forth.
