YNAB is fantastic but more interactive
You’re presumably looking for Monarch Money, but it’s pricey (MINT50) for the first 50% of the year.
Although Piere offers a free lifetime membership, its features are somewhat restricted and it is still quite young. It’s probably worthwhile to register for the free subscription in case it develops into something worthwhile, for which there will eventually be a fee.
YNAB (You Need A Budget)
This app focuses on proactive budgeting, helping users allocate every dollar to a specific purpose. It offers robust features for goal tracking and financial planning, though it comes with a subscription fee.
I used Mint for ten years. This week, I just switched to Monarch. The import procedure was not as easy as they portray it being. There were differences in the categories, and I believe I am missing several thousand submissions. I exported over 14,000 entries, but according to Monarch, only 9,000 were imported. Nonetheless, I believe I will remain with it because of the beautiful interface. I’ll probably go back and correct the mistakes made in the import, but going forward, there shouldn’t be any issues.
I prefer Personal Capital; one of the requirements for budgeting apps is that they automatically import transactions from your bank account. I’ve tried it in the past, manually filling in my transactions whenever I make a buy or have something to come.
