What if I dont need budget software but just want to track spending?

I feel like there already have been a million “what is the best budgeting software” posts (spoiler - everyone says YNAB) but i am not looking for budgeting software. really what i want is a way to visualize where my money is going every month (also filtering by category, auto import using plaid probably) and a way to visually manipulate that data in the charts. does something like this exist or should i just pony up $100/yr for features im not going to use?

I just use Google Sheets. It’s helped me tremendously.

I made my own spreadsheet to track expenses! Manually logging bills helps me review and make changes.

I like it too! Never thought I’d say that haha. I update it weekly and prep the next month in advance

My Money Coach has a free Excel spreadsheet with charts.

Empower is free with auto imports and transaction categorization, like old Mint. Worth trying
