I’m really curious about what people have left in their budgets after all the big monthly bills are paid. You know, like rent, car payments, utilities, and insurance. Once those are out of the way, what are you left with for things like food, subscriptions, entertainment, and hobbies? I consider food pretty flexible because you can spend a ton or just stick to basics. So, I’m looking for real numbers here—how much disposable income do you end up with each month? Anyone willing to share?
I have about $900 a month for food, savings, and fun after all the essentials are paid. I make around $3140 a month after tax.
I don’t have any debt except for my credit card, which I pay off each month. I aim for a 50/35/15 budget: investing 50%, needs 35%, and wants 15%. My unbudgeted money averages about $150-200 a week.
In the UK, it’s a bit different, but after all bills, I have about £450 (~$550) for food and fun stuff. I’m trying to save half of that.
