Hiya, I’m looking to improve my saving and wanted to use Rocket Money to do so (I’m terrible at keeping track of stuff). Unfortunately, it’s not available for banks in my country (Belgium). Has anyone used any good apps (preferably free) that do link up to our local banks? Thanks!
Hey! I totally get the struggle with tracking money. I use Yolt, it works pretty well with Belgian banks. It’s free and you can track spending easily.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll check it out. Do you know if it has a budgeting feature too?
@Indigo
Yeah, it does! It has a budgeting tool where you can set categories and track how much you’re spending in each. Pretty handy!
I’ve tried Bankin’ too. It’s another option that connects to most Belgian banks. It’s pretty intuitive and has a solid savings goal feature.

That sounds good! Is it free or paid? I’d love to try something that helps with saving goals.
@Indigo
It’s free for the basic version! You can always upgrade later for extra features, but the free one is pretty solid for saving goals.
I’ve been using Snoop, it’s not super popular here but it works with Belgian accounts and it’s free. I find it easy to use and it gives good insights into how to save.

Oh, I haven’t heard of Snoop. Does it track subscriptions too? I’m trying to cut down on those.
@Indigo
Yeah, it does! It shows all your recurring payments, so you can see what to cut out. Really useful for cutting subscriptions.
I think there’s also a new app called Plum, it works in Belgium and links with your bank. It automates savings based on your spending habits.

Automated savings sounds awesome! Does it have any fees, though?
@Indigo
Nope, no fees for the basic version. It’s free and you can set it up in just a few minutes.
I’ve used Spendee in the past, though it’s more focused on budgeting than savings. It connects with Belgian banks and has a free version that works for most things.

Thanks for the tip! Does it let you set up categories for specific expenses? That would help me out a lot.
@Indigo
Yeah, it does! You can create custom categories for your expenses and track them all separately. It’s super flexible.
