I’ve lived in SoCal my whole life, so the high cost of living is nothing new. Planning a move last month made me rethink how I was organizing everything. I tried so many finance apps over the years, but they never worked together well. So, the week before the move, I decided to make something for myself. I built a simple app to track everything in one spot. Having everything organized made the whole process so much easier. Knowing exactly where I stood took a lot of the stress out of it. Our last move was just over 3 years ago. We built up savings for our deposit and kept some back for unexpected costs. For the movers, we booked a few months ahead, which helped keep costs down. Everything else we cash flowed while adding to our savings, so we didn’t deplete them all in the move.
