I’ve been using my calendar to keep track of upcoming bills, but I can only set static amounts, and it’s not very helpful for variable bills like utilities. Is there an app out there that can log into my billing accounts (electric, gas, internet, credit card, etc.) and pull the actual current balance? I’m looking for something that can show me the current amount due and the due date, all in one place. Does anyone know if this exists?
Yeah, I think there are some apps that can do this, but they’re mostly paid or have subscription models. Have you tried Mint or Prism? They both sync with a lot of services and show your bill balances.
@Dustin
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve heard of Mint but wasn’t sure it could pull bill statements like that. I’ll check it out.
@Dustin
Prism is pretty good for pulling actual balances from different accounts. It even sends notifications when bills are due. Might be worth trying.
I think the tricky part is finding an app that integrates with all your accounts. Some might sync with certain utilities but not others, so you may need to check each one’s compatibility.

Yeah, that’s what I was worried about. Would be great to have everything in one place, but I guess I might have to compromise depending on what services the app supports.
I use Truebill, and it does a decent job of pulling in amounts and due dates. It also tracks subscriptions, which is a nice bonus. Not sure if it works with every utility though.

Subscriptions tracking sounds useful! I’ll give Truebill a look too, thanks for the tip.
There’s also an app called PocketGuard that might do what you’re looking for. It can sync your accounts and track your bills. I’ve used it for some time, and it’s decent for budgeting too.

Nice, I’m always open to more options. I’ll see if PocketGuard supports all my accounts.
You might want to be cautious about apps that ask for your login info. Make sure the app has strong security features and doesn’t sell your data.

Good point. I’ll make sure to check their privacy policies before committing to any app.
