How do you stay disciplined?

No matter how I tried to stick to my budget, I always end up going over. There’s always unexpected expenses, eating outside, or just me convincing myself I deserve this. Next thing I know, I’m already out of my budget and in the end, I’ll feel guilty about it. How do you guys stay disciplined?

Make the savings automatic. Take it out before you can spend it.

Unexpected expenses that keep eating into your budget means your budget is too lean. Add a line item for unforeseen expenses and allow for some luxury spending wisely.
