Has anyone used Centsible, the budget app?

I’m contacting you because I’m genuinely interested if anyone has used it or is using it right now. For those who are unaware, it is an envelope-based budgeting system that is exactly half as expensive as YNAB!

I’m currently using Budget for Buckets and experimenting with the previous version of YNAB 4, but none of them currently have a mobile app that allows me to enter transactions as they happen. What are your thoughts?

For Android, there is a YNAB Classic app that works with YNAB 4, but you will need to download it from the YNAB Reddit community (someone patched the prior version that broke with a Dropbox update). I’m not sure how to obtain the previous Apple app, though.

I started using it during the beta phase. It was rough at first, but it’s really coming along. The ynab price increase and all that really made me look for an alternative I can get around. It works for me because I use mobile only. There’s a trial, so you can try without committing.

I’ve heard that envelope budgeting works really well, and it’s a shame that some budgeting apps don’t have features like entering transactions in real time. Both Budget for Buckets and YNAB 4 are popular choices, but not being able to use them on your phone can be a dealbreaker.

@Chloe I feel that anguish! I’m using Apple, and I can’t figure out how to get the previous client. I would be completely set if I could pull that off!

Although I’ve been getting by with my desktop, I do wish I had mobile convenience!

@Steve The same here: my preferred method of budgeting would be through a smartphone app. While my desktop works well, it would be more beneficial to input transactions and view my budget while shopping!
