Best budgeting apps to try?

Hey there, I’ve been using EveryDollar for quite a while, but I’ve been facing some issues lately. The app doesn’t let me track my saving goals (like Christmas gifts), so I’ve had to use another app for that. Also, I split my monthly bills into two separate items so I don’t end up paying everything from one paycheck. Another thing is my fluctuating bills—my summer bills are lower than winter. So, I budget monthly for the smaller amount and save the extra for winter. I also have some yearly expenses that I break down into monthly payments, so when they come due, I’m all set. Does anyone know of an app that can handle all this and also connect to my accounts to track savings? Appreciate any suggestions!

I’ve been using Oportun for years, which used to be called Digit. It’s great for setting up savings goals for specific things with time limits. It even withdraws small amounts from your account automatically to help you reach your goals. You can also set a limit so it won’t take money if your bank balance goes below a certain amount.

Just a heads-up—it’s $5 a month to use. But for me, it’s worth it. They also give you savings bonuses every few months, which is a nice perk.

Good to know, thanks again!

You might want to try YNAB or Actual Budget.

I’ll check those out as well, thanks!

Honestly, YNAB is the way to go.

YNAB offers a free trial and has a lot of helpful videos online. Even if you don’t end up paying for a subscription, it’s still super useful. People on the forum say YNAB has really helped them manage their money and prepare for expenses. If you’re a student, you can get a free year too.

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone! This is super helpful!
