Hello guys… Am on the hunt for the best budget programs for 2024. I’ve been using Mint for a while, but now that it’s going away, I’m looking for a solid replacement. I need something that allows me to plan my budget ahead of time for the entire month.
I used Mint almost entirely for budgeting and cash flow management, with a strong preference for individual categories and transaction splits. Iam now testing out Monarch with a new promo discount code. I downloaded and tried about five different apps, but I did not like their interfaces or thought they were too pricey. Simplifi, which I was very interested in, would not accept my address for the trial. Throughout the Monarch trial, I will continue to look into different possibilities to see what works best for me. Transitioning from a free to a premium app is difficult, but I’m determined to find a budgeting tool that fulfills my requirements.
I started with Every Dollar for budgeting and Robinhood for investing.
I upgraded to YNAB for budgeting and Fidelity for investing.
Gnucash running on a desktop PC. There is no guarantee that these cloud-based accounting packages will remain free or even be around in five years, but Gnumeric will undoubtedly persist.
