Hi, I’m trying to get back to regular budgeting after a longer break. My partner and I used to use YNAB, but their current pricing is just too much nowadays, so I’m looking for alternatives. The most important feature I’m looking for is automatic matching of manually added transactions with actual bank transactions that are synced afterwards. I like preparing the transaction manually while waiting in line, so when I pay, I just add the total amount, save, and forget. I also need bank (Revolut) sync or import for regular payments and subscriptions. The app should recognize and match/reconcile manual and synced transactions. Bonus points for apps for both iPhone and Android, the ability to split a single transaction into multiple categories, a web interface, multi-account support (for couples), and a lifetime license option. I’ve tried Spendee, Wallet, and Toshl, but none meet my needs. Would you recommend any other apps? Thanks!
Check my post history. I just started working on this. I can make a web app version.
Shoot, my bad. Mine doesn’t have bank sync. Too pricey for what I am going for.
I’ll plug my app, Centsible. It’s mobile/tablet only though, which knocks out your web app requirement. I do plan on adding a way to auto categorize your CSV imports, but currently it’s manual. It has lifetime pricing for offline use, but offline means single device. If you want multi-device support, there’s a $12 annual subscription for syncing. That said, it sounds like Actual Budget meets your needs. Very good auto categorization and fairly cheap self-hosting. It’s what I’d use if my app didn’t exist.
